The Mayville Historical Society Museum is located in the old Hollenstein Carriage and Wagon Factory on the corner of Bridge and German Streets. It houses several wagons, carriages, and sleighs made in the building along with early farm and related equipment. The original Hollenstein House containing many Mayville artifacts is attached. Also, on the grounds is the Brunke Cigar Factory, which also houses a Mayville Barber Shop, and the 1874 Mayville firehouse containing much of the original equipment used by the Mayville Fire department in the past.
