Museum & research room open by appointment
This log house was built by Norwegian emigrants in 1845 and still stands in the township. We meet the third Thursday of every month at 7 pm. Our museum features the Jaenicke collection of hand crafted farm & circus wagon miniatures; a farm tool shop; and many other local artifacts. Our research files contain numerous local historical documents and over 1,000 local family histories. A book on the history of theTown of Ashippun is available.
